ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY ALPA Equipment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Information Technology department while helping shape the future of technology across the ALPA group of companies. Reporting to the Director of Administration, the Information Technology Manager provides both strategic leadership and hands-on technical support. Working closely with senior leadership and managers across the organization, the successful candidate will oversee IT operations while leading projects that strengthen our technology infrastructure, improve business processes, and support the continued growth of our organization. From supporting more than 160 employees across multiple locations to leading key technology projects, the successful candidate will play an important role in driving innovation, improving business processes, and ensuring our technology environment continues to support the company's growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY * Lead and support the IT team while promoting exceptional internal customer service. * Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives. * Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency, security and overall business performance. * Develop and maintain IT policies, standards and best practices. INFRASTRUCTURE & OPERATIONS * Oversee the organization's technology infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, servers, networking, cybersecurity, telecommunications and business systems. * Ensure the reliability, security and availability of all technology services. * Manage technology vendors, software licensing, IT spending and infrastructure to ensure cost-effective, reliable technology solutions. * Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. USER SUPPORT * Ensure timely and effective support for employees across all ALPA locations. * Foster a customer-focused IT environment that delivers responsive and professional service. * Monitor service performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS & INNOVATION * Lead technology projects that improve business operations and support organizational growth. * Continue the organization's Microsoft 365 and SharePoint journey while maximizing collaboration and document management. * Support Business Intelligence and reporting initiatives. * Evaluate opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies to improve business processes. * Partner with business leaders to evaluate operational needs and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency, collaboration and customer service. QUALIFICATIONS * Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. * Progressive experience in Information Technology, including leadership responsibilities. * Experience managing Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments. * Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure and business systems. * Experience leading technology projects and implementing business solutions. * Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. * Bilingual (French/English) – verbal and written. * Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical support in a fast-paced environment.
