Role Description The DevOps Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Day-to-day tasks include building and managing CI/CD workflows, automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration, and monitoring system performance and availability. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software development and operations teams to improve release processes, optimize cloud environments, and enhance observability and incident response. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, maintaining Linux-based systems, and ensuring best practices around security, backups, and disaster recovery. This position requires proactive communication, documentation of processes, and continuous improvement of tools and workflows. Qualifications 2+ Years strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks. Software Development skills, including scripting or programming in languages like Python, Go, or Bash, to support automation and tooling. Candidates should possess Continuous Integration skills, with hands-on experience in CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Candidates should possess System Administration skills, including managing servers, networks, security configurations, and performance tuning in production environments. Candidates should possess Linux skills, with strong proficiency in administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing Linux-based systems. Relevant experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial. Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and experience working in cross-functional, remote teams are important for success in this role. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
