Role Description This is a part-time remote Security Guard role supporting various client locations and operations that could lead to a full-time position in the future. The Security Guard will monitor assigned sites in person or utilizing remote surveillance tools, performing virtual access control. Security Guards need to report security incidents or suspicious activity in a timely, accurate manner. Daily tasks include reviewing camera feeds, documenting observations, responding to alerts, coordinating with on-site personnel, and following established security protocols. The role also involves delivering courteous, customer-focused support, assisting visitors or staff with inquiries, and escalating issues when necessary. The Security Guard will work scheduled shifts, maintain clear communication with supervisors, and comply with all company and client policies. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills. Knowledge of core security practices, including Physical Security and Private Security. Understanding of Personnel Security principles, such as identity verification and access control. Ability to monitor and assess remote security systems and surveillance tools. Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail, situational awareness, and sound judgment in high-pressure situations. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow detailed procedures. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant security certifications are an asset. Willingness to work part-time shifts, including evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
