The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including windows, doors, and storefronts. The Glazier will work closely with other professionals to ensure high-quality results and adherence to safety standards. A strong understanding of blueprint reading and installation techniques is essential for this role. Responsibilities • Install glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications. • Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions and designs. • Repair and replace broken or damaged glass as needed. • Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and securing glass. • Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. • Restore existing structures by replacing or repairing glass components. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the industry. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. • Familiarity with various hand tools used in glass installation and repair. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality workmanship. • Knowledge of safety regulations related to glass handling and installation. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on larger projects.
