Position Summary Acuren is recruiting an entry-level Reliability Engineer in Training to support ongoing projects within our Advanced Diagnostics team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual seeking a dynamic, hands-on environment with meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Engineer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Reliability Engineers to support the diagnosis and assessment of dynamic and static industrial assets. This is a field-based position with approximately 50% travel. The role is based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with travel to customer locations as required. Responsibilities Collect condition-monitoring data on industrial rotating equipment, structures, and piping. Collect, analyze, and interpret diagnostic data using specialized tools and software. Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of equipment failures. Support preventive maintenance programs through testing, reporting, and client recommendations. Prepare accurate technical reports and clearly communicate findings to engineering staff and customers. Travel to customer sites as required, working from a Dartmouth, Nova Scotia base. Follow all applicable safety protocols, procedures, and industry standards during field work. Work overtime, weekends, and extended travel periods when required by project needs. Requirements Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered. Experience working with industrial equipment, with a willingness and ability to perform hands-on field work. Willingness to obtain relevant industry certifications, including: Vibration Analysis Infrared Thermography Ultrasound Testing Motor Testing Oil Sampling and Analysis Reliability Professional Certification Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to perform field work that may occasionally be physically demanding. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time. Valid Canadian driver’s licence. Must meet the professional eligibility and citizenship requirements necessary to qualify for a CUSMA TN-1 visa for employment in the United States.
