Adams Lake Indian Band is seeking one casual on call Civil Construction and Heavy Equipment Operator to work under the direction of the Adams Lake Band’s Director of Infrastructure. DUTIES INCLUDE: * Operating a backhoe/excavator and other heavy equipment as required * Working in conjunction with the team * Working on Civil and Commercial projects as necessary * Circle checks and maintenance of equipment * Critical thinking and problem solving with limited supervision * Ensuring safe working practices for self, and others including Community members QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWELDGE AND SKILLS * Must have a minimum of 10 Years demonstrated experience on an Excavator * Must have a minimum of 10 Years demonstrated experience on a Dozer * Must hold Telehandler Level 1 certification * Must have proven back hoe experience * Civil installation experience is required * WHIMIS * Working Knowledge of WorkSafe * Appropriate and valid driving/operating licenses * Experience with Laser Level OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED DOCUMENTS) Acceptable Criminal Record Check (Original) Drivers abstract with results acceptable to ALIB Appropriate licenses and certifications TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Casual on Call Wage range: $30 - $35 per hour Competition open until filled All interested candidates are asked to submit a resume with references to: https://workforcenow.adp.com/recruitment/alib [https://workforcenow.adp.com/mascsr/default/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=ff74a3f0-8b75-4862-ae1d-686d50313c46&ccId=19000101_000001&lang=en_CA] Preference may be given to ALIB band members and individuals who self-identify as First Nation, Inuit, or Indigenous ancestry.
