Overview We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership of backend architecture and development for end-user self-service and access visibility solutions. This role combines architectural responsibility with hands-on development of APIs, scripts, and system integrations, with a strong focus on AWS-based solutions. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications while contributing to key architecture and design decisions. Primary Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid 2-Days Onsite Employment Type: Contractor RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and own backend architecture for self-service and access visibility capabilities Develop and maintain backend APIs, scripts, and system integrations Translate business and technical requirements into scalable backend solutions Define technical standards and development approaches Design solutions that are secure, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle Identify and address technical risks, dependencies, and integration requirements Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and ongoing solution improvements Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and design decisions Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and integrations QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Experience with AWS and cloud-based application development Experience in application architecture and hands-on backend development Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, and systems integration Experience developing scripts and automation solutions Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable applications Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and integration practices Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams Clear communication and technical documentation skills Ability to take ownership of solutions from design through implementation NICE TO HAVE: Experience delivering end-user self-service solutions Knowledge of identity and access management or access visibility concepts Experience working with enterprise applications and complex system integrations Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring developers Understanding of DevOps, automated testing, and deployment practices ABOUT ADASTRA Adastra is a global leader in AI and data-driven transformation, helping organizations lead with artificial intelligence—responsibly, strategically, and at scale.
