Job summary

Director of Business Development – Education & Senior Living Adecco is partnering with a global leader in outsourced food services and facilities management to recruit three experienced Directors of Business Development supporting the education and senior-living sectors across Canada. These are senior individual-contributor sales positions for accomplished hunters who know how to create opportunities, penetrate complex organizations and win significant, long-term service contracts. Available Opportunities Director of Business Development – K–12 and Independent Schools National territory. Candidates may be based in Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver. Director of Business Development – Campus West Responsible for colleges and universities across Western Canada. Candidates may be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver or another major Western Canadian market. Director of Business Development – Senior Living East Responsible for Ontario and Eastern Canada. Candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area are preferred. The Opportunity You will develop and win new business with school boards, independent schools, colleges, universities, long-term-care providers and senior-living organizations. Solutions may include food services, facilities management, housekeeping, janitorial services, building maintenance or a combination of integrated services. You will be responsible for the complete business-development cycle, from identifying target organizations and gaining executive access to shaping solutions, negotiating commercial terms and closing complex contracts. Key Responsibilities Build and execute a territory-development strategy Generate a self-developed pipeline of qualified opportunities Prospect through research, cold outreach, networking and industry events Establish relationships before formal procurement or RFP processes begin Engage executives, procurement leaders and operational stakeholders Navigate long, complex and multi-stakeholder sales cycles Partner with internal operational, financial and technical specialists Develop comprehensive and commercially viable client solutions Lead contract negotiations and close profitable net-new business Support renewals and identify cross-selling opportunities What We Are Looking For Demonstrated success in new-business hunting and territory development Experience winning complex, high-value B2B service or solution contracts Strong executive presence and business acumen Proven ability to personally generate pipeline and win net-new accounts Experience navigating several stakeholders and lengthy buying processes Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-development skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams Willingness to travel approximately 50%–60% Direct experience in food services, facilities management, education, healthcare, senior living or long-term care is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates from adjacent enterprise-services, technology, consulting, fleet, workplace-services or outsourced-solutions environments will also be considered.
