Production Assistant

Advance Paper Box is a fully integrated folding carton manufacturing facility including design, die-making, printing, die-cutting, and gluing. Our customers range from food and pharmaceutical manufacturers to computer software and automotive supply companies. Note: This is a 12-hour shift from 7 am to 7 pm on the day shift. Shift Schedule: Continental shifts- 1st week- Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 2nd week- Wed, Thurs RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: * Feeding/Catching on the line machine to ensure proper products are running on the machine at all times. * Conduct regular quality checks for all quality defects, damaged cartons, and mismatched products * Ensures proper quality standards are maintained as per company standards, and any defects are reported to the operator, coordinator, and manager immediately. * Ensure the case count is accurate and correct case labels are applied. * Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow all safety policies. * Follows all company policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. * At least 1-year experience in a manufacturing/production facility. * Mechanical dexterity, tape measure reading, math, and measuring skills. * Good Communication skills. * Good physical condition and capable of heavy lifting. * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment * Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations. * Previous experience in a similar job is an asset What we can offer you: * Competitive salary * Groupnet extended health Benefits * Retirement savings plan contributions * Casual dressing * On-site Parking We need motivated and growth-oriented people like you to join our APB team!
