Position Overview Calgary Construction Operations is hiring a Rubber Tire Backhoe Operator in Calgary, Alberta for the 2026 Season. Key Responsibilities Dig trenches, excavate foundations, backfill utility lines and perform site grading. Load and unload materials, move cargo, and assist ground crews on active construction pr public work sites. Efficiently change and operate specialized machine tools like breakers or tampers. Complete daily pre- and post operational checks on fluids levels, tires and hydraulic hoses Verify underground utility locates before digging and maintain safe distances from traffic and workers Operate Hoe on public roadways, always being aware of surroundings. Use equipment to move dirt, gravel, and other materials. Will be operating multiple types of equipment such as hoe, dozer, skid steer, etc. Operate equipment in a safe manner, following all safety regulations. Preventative maintenance of equipment and daily safety checks. Work collaboratively with crew. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Knowledge & Experience 3+ years' experience as an operator. Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, in a courteous, professional manner at all times. Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license. Willing to work overtime, nightshift and weekends, as required. Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
