Job summary
Job Description On behalf of our Healthcare Client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst to support its enterprise Security Program, working across multiple concurrent project streams including cloud security, network segmentation, landing zones, endpoint detection, and vulnerability management. This is a full-time consulting engagement, embedded with the program's PMs, architects, and technical teams. The BA will act as the connective tissue between business/operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams — driving requirements from initial discovery through to completion, without requiring close oversight. Responsibilities Lead requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder engagement across project streams (cloud security, network segmentation, landing zones, endpoint detection, vulnerability management) Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and functional specifications for technical and architecture teams Own analysis work end-to-end — see requirements through to delivery and completion rather than stopping at first draft Proactively identify where support is needed across the program and bring solutions forward, rather than waiting for direction Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and architects/technical leads, translating technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa Build working knowledge of unfamiliar technical/security domains as needed to support the program effectively Produce supporting documentation: requirements traceability, process diagrams, SOPs, test plans as needed Qualifications Strong core BA fundamentals — proven ability to run requirements-gathering and stakeholder workshops, and to carry analysis from discovery through to completion independently. This matters more than direct security-domain knowledge — a strong analyst who knows how to engage people and extract what's needed will outperform someone with domain knowledge but weak analysis discipline. Self-direction and ownership — must be able to work autonomously, drive their own workload, and proactively seek out where they can add value across the program. Complex technical/enterprise program experience — prior experience on large, technical, multi-stakeholder programs (healthcare, infrastructure, or similarly regulated/complex environments). Direct security experience is a strong asset but not a hard requirement; candidates with adjacent technical program experience and the ability to quickly learn security-specific concepts are equally strong fits. Nice to Have Direct security experience (e.g., cloud security, network segmentation, endpoint detection, vulnerability management) Public sector or healthcare-adjacent program experience Experience supporting enterprise integration/architecture teams Affinity Earn Know someone who’s great for this, or any of our open roles?
