Job Description On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for a contract. Candidates must be located in the lower mainland. Position Overview Our client is seeking a Computer Support Analyst (Contractor) to support an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation project. The successful candidate will provide hands-on desktop and end-user support during a technology rollout, working closely with project teams, technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT support professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with users, and supporting technology deployments in an operational environment. The successful candidate will support workstation deployments, end-user computing environments, device configuration, and application support activities. Location & Work Requirements Primary work location is in New Westminster, BC Hybrid work model with approximately 40% onsite requirement Occasional travel to additional operational sites throughout the Greater Vancouver area may be required Travel time and expenses are not reimbursable Responsibilities Install, configure, and test end-user computing equipment including: Desktop computers Laptops Mobile devices Monitors and peripherals Perform workstation setup and remediation activities Provide technical support for enterprise applications and end-user technology solutions Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues Support device lifecycle activities including deployment, replacement, and configuration Ensure devices are configured according to enterprise IT standards Validate compliance with security policies, authentication requirements, and device management standards Track hardware assets, peripherals, and equipment configurations Support users with: Account/password resets Device issues Wi-Fi connectivity Mobile device connectivity General technical troubleshooting Log, investigate, triage, and resolve incidents and user issues Escalate issues appropriately and communicate status updates Work collaboratively with Desktop Support, Cybersecurity, Workplace Technology, vendors, and project teams Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures Assist with project rollout activities and transition into ongoing support Required Qualifications & Experience Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent technical certifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a Desktop Support / End User Computing role Experience providing technical support in an enterprise environment Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user access issues Experience supporting Windows environments Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Experience supporting large-scale technology deployments or rollouts Experience with Windows 10/11 environments Experience with Active Directory and user administration Experience supporting mobile devices and peripherals Experience working with enterprise applications Experience supporting operational, field, or industrial environments Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge articles Affinity Earn Know someone who’s great for this, or any of our open roles?
