Job Description Our energy client is seeking a highly organized and delivery-focused Junior to Intermediate Project Manager / Analyst to support a growing portfolio of Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and emerging technology initiatives within its PMO. This hybrid role combines hands-on project management responsibilities with procurement and vendor management functions, offering a unique opportunity for professionals looking to expand their expertise across both project delivery and strategic sourcing. Working within a dynamic IT Project Management Office, the successful candidate will drive projects from initiation through completion while supporting procurement activities that enable successful delivery. This position is ideal for an experienced Project Manager seeking procurement exposure, or a procurement professional looking to take on greater ownership of project execution and stakeholder engagement. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to process improvement, workflow automation, and enterprise AI adoption initiatives. Responsibilities Manage multiple IT projects across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and technology portfolios from initiation through closeout. Accountable for project delivery against approved scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, and quality expectations. Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and delivery roadmaps. Monitor project progress and proactively manage scope changes, schedule impacts, and resource constraints. Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), driving resolution and escalation when required. Facilitate project governance activities including stakeholder meetings, steering committee updates, status reporting, and action item tracking. Prepare and maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, project charters, status reports, and governance artifacts. Support monthly portfolio reporting activities by reviewing project updates, validating information, and consolidating reporting for leadership review. Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, and third-party partners to ensure successful delivery outcomes. Coordinate vendor activities, deliverable reviews, approvals, and documentation requirements to ensure milestones are achieved on schedule. Maintain accurate project records and documentation in alignment with organizational governance standards and auditing requirements. Support financial administration activities including budget tracking, monthly reconciliation reviews, variance analysis, and exception identification. Assist with time tracking validation, reporting accuracy, and resource utilization monitoring. Support procurement processes including purchase requisition creation, purchase order administration, quote management, and procurement record maintenance. Coordinate vendor contract renewals by monitoring key dates, confirming business requirements, and evaluating pricing changes and vendor performance. Facilitate required legal, privacy, cybersecurity, and risk reviews associated with vendor onboarding and contract approvals. Conduct preliminary reviews of vendor agreements and commercial contracts, identifying key terms, risks, and points requiring legal review. Contribute to PMO process improvement initiatives, workflow optimization efforts, reporting enhancements, and automation opportunities. Support adoption of enterprise AI tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and project delivery effectiveness. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Procurement, or a combination of both disciplines. Demonstrated experience managing projects end-to-end, including ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder management, and delivery outcomes. PMP certification or active progress toward PMP designation strongly preferred. Experience supporting Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or enterprise technology projects within complex organizations. Proven ability to develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, status reports, RAID logs, and governance documentation. Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and business leaders. Hands-on procurement experience including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor management, contract administration, and vendor renewals. Experience reviewing commercial agreements, statements of work, and vendor contracts with the ability to identify key business and legal considerations. Familiarity working alongside Legal, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Procurement teams. Strong understanding of project governance frameworks, reporting standards, and PMO best practices. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and document management platforms. Experience supporting portfolio reporting, financial tracking, and budget administration activities. Exposure to workflow automation technologies and process improvement methodologies is considered an asset. Interest or experience leveraging enterprise AI tools to improve operational efficiency and reporting capabilities. Experience operating within regulated or public-sector environments is highly desirable. Strong written communication and technical documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial, vendor, pricing, and contractual information. Requires at least three years of experience in IT project management, procurement, or a combination, with demonstrated end-to-end project delivery and hands-on procurement and vendor management experience. PMP certification or progress toward it is preferred, along with experience in infrastructure or cybersecurity projects, strong documentation and communication skills, and advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency.
