Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Project Manager – 911 Computer-Assisted Dispatch & Telephony to Lead a large-scale, capital-funded IT project from initiation through closeout. The role requires strong project leadership, governance, scheduling, budget management, risk and issue control, vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, implementation support, and transition planning. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing complex, high-value IT projects, preferably within public sector or government environments, along with strong knowledge of enterprise systems, capital-funded initiatives, and formal project management methodologies. Responsibilities Manage the project during the development, implementation and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters Formulate statements of problems; establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems, and obtain approval thereof. Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team. Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle Meet stakeholders and other project managers and state problems in a form capable of being solved. Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools. Ensure all deliverables and milestones are completed as planned. Manage project change requests Develop and support project schedules Develop and maintain work breakdown structures. Product appropriate reports and identify scheduling and/or dependency issues. Conduct and provide critical path analysis. Assist in schedule Co-Ordination efforts with internal external project stakeholders Project sign-off. Required Skills Mandatory Skills: Must have valid PMP certification in good standing 5 years experience coordinating complex projects with large data migrations as a Project Manager 2 years working with the Canadian Government 3 years experience working with a large stakeholder group with a variety of backgrounds 2 years experience with implementing Computer assisted dispatching software Desirable Skills Experience working with 911 dispatching centers and systems Experience working with medivac dispatching Experience with implementing telephony systems Affinity Earn Know someone who’s great for this, or any of our open roles?
