Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Solution Architect (Business Enterprise Architect) with strong healthcare integration experience, including HL7/FHIR and ideally Drug Information System (DIS)/pharmacy integrations. They’ll lead the architecture and technical design for expanding the province DIS and integrating it with other provincial digital health systems. Deliverables Develop and maintain technical requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements for enterprise technology solutions. Create and maintain solution and integration architecture documentation. Develop messaging specifications and vendor implementation guides. Produce technical specifications and solution documentation. Define and maintain technical and solution standards, including communication, integration, desktop, and networking standards. Establish and evolve solution architecture principles aligned with enterprise architecture frameworks. Support the continuous evolution of architecture and design deliverables throughout the solution lifecycle, including acquisition, planning, design, development, configuration, testing, and implementation. Provide architectural guidance and support for digital technology solutions beyond the core deliverables listed above. Required Qualifications University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 15+ years of IM/IT experience. 10+ years of experience as a Lead Solution Architect on medium to large-scale system development, COTS implementation, healthcare technology, or integration projects completed within the last 15 years. Experience working on complex projects that: Span multiple business units and/or organizations. Involve more than eight direct project participants. Extend beyond nine months in duration. Include both business transformation and technical challenges. Available to work on-site in Fredericton, New Brunswick, upon contract award. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years leading teams of architects, technical analysts, programmers, consultants, and technical specialists on technology projects. 5+ years leading technical design sessions, requirements gathering workshops, solution assessments, and technical due diligence activities. 5+ years developing architecture artefacts and technical deliverables, including solution architecture, integration architecture, technical standards, and implementation guidance. 5+ years delivering enterprise-scale solutions and services with a focus on maintainability, supportability, and long-term lifecycle management. 3+ years of system implementation or integration experience involving Drug Information Systems; experience with medication management solutions is considered an asset. 5+ years acting as an architect on large-scale transformation initiatives while mentoring and guiding technical teams. 3+ years of hands-on architecture experience within the eHealth or digital health sector. 2+ years working with healthcare interoperability and messaging standards, including HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and FHIR.
