Job details

Job Description On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a UX Designer – SharePoint & Service Design with strong SharePoint experience and exposure to service design to support the next phase of an internal human-centred design initiative. The successful consultant will work within an existing SharePoint environment, improving and creating content and pages rather than redesigning the site's overall architecture or building a new site from scratch. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone who can take an established brief, understand the desired outcomes, and independently move the work forward with minimal direction. Responsibilities Design and update pages and content within an existing SharePoint site/hub. Create a new Business Unit Engagement page outlining how the internal team can provide workshops and services to other teams. Develop, structure, and refine content for the new page. Complete outstanding design/content components within the existing hub. Develop an interview guide to support the initiative. Conduct or support usability and accessibility assessments. Apply UX, human-centred design, and service-design principles to improve the overall user experience. Work independently from an established brief and outline, requiring minimal day-to-day direction. Participate in occasional project check-ins during core business hours. Qualifications Strong professional experience in UX design. Demonstrated experience working with SharePoint, particularly designing or updating existing SharePoint pages/sites. Experience applying usability and accessibility principles to digital experiences. Ability to interpret a brief and independently take work from concept through delivery. Strong content organization and information presentation skills. Ability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week. Experience incorporating service design methodologies into UX projects. Experience with human-centred design initiatives. Experience developing content for internal services, employee-facing sites, or digital hubs. Experience conducting usability and/or accessibility assessments.
