Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Structural Engineer in the Engineering consulting industry in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Structural Engineer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small hydropower projects. The Structural Engineer participates in a wide range of projects covering concrete foundations and structural steel design. Activities include layout development and structural analysis of industrial structures for both front end planning and the detailed engineering phase for multi-discipline projects. Total rewards: $100000.00 - $125000.00 annually Build a Rewarding Long-Term Career Work with one of Canada's Top 3 Engineering Firms Pension Bonus Program A typical day: Manage capital and maintenance projects, including scope definition and execution support. Monitor project progress, prepare status updates, and stamp engineering documents and drawings as required. Support the Engineering Manager/Lead Structural Engineer in delivering projects on scope, budget, and schedule. Prepare structural engineering calculations, technical specifications, design criteria, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with safety, integrity, engineering standards, and internal design procedures. Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical reports, memos, and engineering deliverables. Provide input into capital cost estimates, operating cost estimates, and project proposals. Review and provide technical guidance on work completed by junior engineers, designers, technicians, and technologists. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or actively pursuing registration. 7+ years of project experience, including hydropower projects. Strong knowledge of structural design codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices. Proficiency with STAAD.Pro structural analysis software; experience with Mathcad and SAP2000 is considered an asset. Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple project priorities. Understanding of Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) policies and standards. Experience with 3D design systems, engineering management systems, project workflows, and supervising or mentoring technical team members.
