Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Superintendent, Detour Underground Operations, you will be part of the Mine Operations Department. You will be responsible for all safety, contractor productivity management, and cost targets for the development of the new Detour underground operation. You will be a key team member responsible for the planning and operations of mining activities. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. Model and reinforce safety procedures, inspect workstations, address safety concerns, and ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies; Inform and receive information from departments, lead by example, motivate and guide supervisors and crews, and maintain good employee relations; Coordinate daily mining activities, ensure productivity levels, provide technical support, and participate to the mine design; Administer policies, manage contractor and inventory, track costs against the budget, and assist in budget setting. What You Need To Succeed High School Diploma or equivalent; Five years’ experience as an underground mining supervisor, with at least three years’ as a Mine Captain or General Supervisor; Commitment to safety and sustainability practices in mining; Sounds knowledge of relevant regulations and standards governing mining operations in Ontario/Canada; Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Your Work Schedule Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.

Requirements
Requires a High School Diploma and at least five years of underground mining supervisory experience, including three years as a Mine Captain or General Supervisor. Must have strong knowledge of Ontario/Canada mining regulations and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
