Mississauga Position Description Ainley Group is currently seeking Transportation Design Engineer/Technologist to join our Mississauga Office. As a successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to plan and design all aspects of municipal transportation infrastructure projects in a dynamic team setting. The Specifics Of The Position Are As Follows Responsibilities and Duties Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for a variety of Transportation infrastructure projects and oversee the construction administration associated with new and/or the rehabilitation of arterial roads, collector roads, local roads. Prepare Contract Specifications, Tender Documents, Cost Estimates, and Applications for Approvals. Liaise with clients, sub-consultants, approval authorities, project stakeholders, construction supervision staff and contractors. Coordinate and mentor junior staff working within the department. Liaise with Clients, Subconsultants, Contractors and construction supervision staff. Assist with the preparation of marketing and business development, including preparing proposals to secure additional work within the department. Taken project responsibilities by signing and sealing project documents in accordance with PEO guidelines. Qualifications Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a Design Office. Strong computer software skills including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Word, Excel & MS Project. Additional software experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads would be an asset. Experience in planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction administration associated with new and/or the rehabilitation of municipal transportation and servicing projects. Skilled in cost estimating, quantity preparation and specification writing. Have a track record of gaining approval of transportation designs from road authorities and government agencies. Independent, organized and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
