Job summary
Job Title: Mechanic Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, on-call rotation once a month, overtime as required Location: Lloydminster, AB. This opportunity is suited to a maintenance professional working in an equipment-focused oil and gas environment, with responsibility for supporting on-time delivery against operational demands. The role centres on equipment maintenance, reliability centred maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement within a maintenance base, helping to reduce nonproductive time and improve asset utilisation. This position offers involvement in work orders, parts usage, failure investigations, and asset turnaround activities that directly support maintenance efficiency and service delivery performance. Key Responsibilities Assist with basic equipment maintenance and repair activities. Perform routine inspections and identify visible signs of wear or damage. Support preventive maintenance tasks under supervision. Help clean, organize, and maintain equipment and work areas. Follow established maintenance procedures and safety guidelines. Record maintenance activities and update basic documentation as required. Assist with equipment preparation, movement, and handling. Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Participate in training and learning opportunities to develop mechanical skills. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in mechanics and equipment maintenance. Ability to use basic hand tools safely. Willingness to learn maintenance procedures and equipment operation. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in a workshop environment. Familiarity with basic mechanical components and tools.
