Project Engineer – Major Midstream Owner/Operator (8–15 Years Experience) Role Summary The Project Engineer provides technical leadership for a major midstream owner/operator, supporting both facility optimization initiatives and large‑scale capital expansion programs. The role combines brownfield engineering, multidiscipline coordination, contractor oversight, and construction integration within operating processing facilities. Key Responsibilities Facility Optimization & Debottlenecking Lead engineering definition, option evaluation, and scope development to improve throughput, reliability, and operability of existing midstream assets. Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, tie‑in strategies, shutdown scopes, and integration packages. Coordinate process, mechanical, electrical, and I&C engineering to ensure safe and efficient modifications. Conduct 3D model reviews, constructability assessments, and support HAZOP/HAZID activities. Prepare construction work packages, support field execution, and ensure compliance with change management processes. Align engineering changes with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams. Capital Expansion & New Capacity Additions Provide project engineering leadership for major facility expansions, including new processing units, modular equipment packages, and complex brownfield integration. Oversee engineering deliverables from EP/EPCM contractors, ensuring alignment with owner standards and technical assurance requirements. Manage vendor technical reviews, long‑lead equipment coordination, and fabrication progress. Support procurement strategy, interface management, and multidisciplinary alignment across engineering, construction, and operations. Drive construction integration, sequencing, and execution planning within operating facilities. Monitor cost, schedule, risks, and change management in collaboration with project controls. Proven background in brownfield project execution, facility optimization, and major capital projects. Experience with modular equipment packages, vendor coordination, and EP/EPCM deliverables. Strong understanding of process safety, construction integration, and commissioning practices. Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related discipline.
