Labourer rate starting from $22.50 Job Summary Airtech is seeking an entry level, general laborer to assist in our fabrication shop. This role will primarily be responsible for completing routine tasks, such as fabricating ductwork, fittings, flashing, and maintaining stock parts. Candidates for this position are encouraged to pursue a Sheet Metal apprenticeship. Duties and Responsibilities Work with many types of metal, including black iron, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Safely and correctly use all shop equipment, such as press break, shear, plasma table. pinspotter Bend, cut, roll, and weld various metals according to blueprints or instructions. Complete work in the required timeline and ensure standard codes are met. Complete daily paperwork accurately Ask questions when unsure of requirements Qualifications Good physical condition - able to lift and carry up to 25 kilograms A mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Understanding of practical mathematics and geometry The ability to stand for long periods and work in noisy places (With hearing protection) Patience, dependability and accuracy Interest in pursuing a trade apprenticeship or currently high level in the Sheet Metal Trade.
