Job summary
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced AI Governance & Risk Implementation Lead to support the implementation of an enterprise AI Governance Program. This role will focus on translating governance frameworks into practical processes, standards, and controls that enable the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across the organization. The successful candidate will partner with technical and business stakeholders to establish governance practices aligned with industry-recognized AI risk management frameworks. Contract Details Contract Length: 12 months Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite) Compensation: $ 130.00 - $ 160.00 / H INC. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of AI governance standards, policies, controls, and guardrails aligned with an established implementation roadmap. Partner with stakeholders throughout the AI lifecycle, including solution intake, development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement. Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive governance initiatives. Develop and refine AI governance operating models, including governance forums, ownership structures, decision-making processes, and supporting tools. Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, and roadmap updates for senior leadership. Translate AI governance frameworks and regulatory requirements into practical implementation guidance for technical teams. Collaborate with business, technology, legal, risk, and compliance teams to support enterprise AI governance initiatives. Monitor implementation progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery. Required Qualifications Proven experience implementing AI governance, enterprise governance, or risk management programs. Strong knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) and ISO/IEC 42001. Experience developing governance processes, standards, policies, and operating models. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex governance or technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience creating executive presentations, dashboards, and status reporting for leadership. Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence across multiple business functions. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing governance programs in large, complex organizations. Familiarity with AI lifecycle management, responsible AI principles, and emerging AI regulations. Experience working with governance, risk, compliance, or enterprise transformation initiatives. Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and change management practices. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a governance-focused professional with expertise in AI risk and governance frameworks. This individual excels at translating high-level governance requirements into practical implementation plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving enterprise-wide adoption of AI governance practices. Experience in financial services is not required; candidates from any industry with relevant governance and AI framework experience are encouraged to apply.
