About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Middleware Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise integration modernization initiative involving mission-critical healthcare services. The successful consultant will support a Provincial Common Integration Services team responsible for enterprise shared service platforms and integration technologies. This engagement focuses on a strategic modernization program involving migration to AWS, middleware platform upgrades, containerization initiatives, and modernization of enterprise integration services. Scope Lead and execute middleware modernization and migration initiatives. Support migration of IBM DataPower from physical appliances to OpenShift Container Platform. Support modernization and upgrade of IBM App Connect Enterprise and Java Spring Boot-based services. Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines for containerized middleware solutions. Support AWS migration activities and cloud-native middleware deployments. Assignment Deliverables Execute AWS migration and middleware modernization activities, including platform upgrades, deployment, configuration, testing, and production implementation. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, configuration, and management of containerized middleware solutions. Coordinate upgrade activities across Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, UNIX, Network, Middleware Support, Storage, and QA teams. Expertise Required Must Have: 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in middleware engineering, integration services, and enterprise platform modernization initiatives. Strong expertise with IBM DataPower, including migration from physical appliances to OpenShift Container Platform. Hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and Java Spring Boot microservices. Proven experience with AWS cloud services and building CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of containerized middleware solutions. Experience leading complex upgrade, migration, deployment, and operational support activities with minimal service disruption Deep understanding of PKI infrastructure, TLS/mTLS, digital certificates, encryption standards, and secure system-to-system integrations. Nice to Have: Familiarity with monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and operational health management. Experience supporting QA testing, defect management, validation activities, and risk assessment. Important This is a business-to-business engagement.
