À propos du poste En tant que membre clé de l'équipe Assurance qualité (QA), le ou la spécialiste en tests logiciels jouera un rôle essentiel dans les activités de test et de validation des différents systèmes logiciels de la plateforme. Cela comprend les logiciels embarqués, les applications ainsi que les solutions infonuagiques (cloud). Ce poste requiert une excellente compréhension de l'interaction entre le logiciel et le matériel afin d'assurer une validation complète des produits de bout en bout. Vous serez responsable de concevoir et d'exécuter des plans de tests complets en utilisant des approches de tests manuelles et techniques tout au long des cycles de développement et de mise en production. Le poste est basé à Montréal en mode hybride, avec une présence minimale de deux jours par semaine au bureau. Principales responsabilités Développer et maintenir les plans et scénarios de tests pour les logiciels embarqués et les applications associées en utilisant des méthodologies de tests « boîte noire » et « boîte blanche ». Agir comme point de référence pour la vérification et la validation de nouvelles configurations matérielles lors des mises en production logicielles. Créer et exécuter des suites de tests automatisés à l'aide d'outils standards de l'industrie. Documenter et suivre les anomalies identifiées durant les phases de développement et de tests. Vérifier et valider les correctifs avant les mises en production. Collaborer avec les équipes de développement lors des activités de débogage. Participer à l'analyse des causes racines des défauts potentiels. Servir de lien entre les équipes Firmware et Assurance qualité afin de maintenir les standards de qualité. Assurer un suivi régulier des activités et communiquer l'avancement à son gestionnaire. Collaborer avec les différentes équipes pour garantir la qualité des livrables et le respect des échéanciers. Profil recherché Connaissance de l'environnement Android (système d'exploitation et applications mobiles). Expérience avec des outils de gestion des tests tels que Jira, TestRail ou équivalents. Expérience en scripting avec Bash et/ou Python. Connaissance de Git ou d'autres systèmes de gestion de code source. Compréhension de l'intégration logiciel-matériel et des composants électroniques. Aisance dans la manipulation d'équipements électroniques. Familiarité avec les applications Web. Connaissance des méthodologies de développement Agile. Compétences requises 2 à 5 ans d'expérience en tests logiciels. Excellentes habiletés de communication écrite et verbale. Esprit analytique et capacité à sortir des approches conventionnelles lors des validations. Capacité à suivre les priorités et exécuter efficacement les tâches confiées. Autonomie et aptitude à travailler en équipe. Intérêt marqué pour les nouvelles technologies, tant logicielles que matérielles. Très bonne maîtrise de l'anglais écrit. Atouts Expérience avec des équipements de test tels que multimètre, oscilloscope, analyseur logique, outils réseau (Wireshark, etc.). Diplôme en génie informatique, génie électrique ou expérience équivalente. Connaissance des outils de développement et de débogage mobiles (Android Studio, Xcode). Connaissance de Linux. Expérience en développement de tests automatisés. // As a key member of the Quality Assurance (QA) team, the software test specialist will play a crucial role in testing and validating the various software systems that powers the platform. This will include the embedded system software for our hardware, the applications, and the cloud-based software. This role will involve a deep understanding of how the software intersects with our hardware from an end-to-end level. You will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive test plans, leveraging both manual and low-level testing methods throughout development and release cycles. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for embedded system software and related applications using both white-box and black-box testing methodologies. Serve as contact point for verifying and validating new hardware configurations in conjunction with software releases. Creation and execution of automated test suites/test scripts using industry standard automation tools to streamline tests. Document and log all defects encountered during test cycle and development phases. Verify and validate issues that have been resolved for software releases. Provide feedback and guidance to the development team during the debugging process. Be detail orientated by helping analyze root causes of potential defects. Be an effective bridge between the Firmware and QA teams to ensure that testing and quality standards are upheld. Document and report effectively daily activities with your manager. Collaborate with the team to ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and deadlines. Requirements Knowledge of Android system software, such as their operating system and mobile applications. Functional knowledge and experience with QA test applications such as JIRA, Test Rail, etc. Experience in scripting languages such as Bash and Python. Knowledge of GIT and/or source code management systems. Functional knowledge and experience with electronics and components integration at both software/hardware levels. Have proficiency with handling electronic hardware and equipment. Familiarity and knowledge with Web based applications. Familiarity with Agile software development. Skills Required 2-5 years of experience in software testing Have the skill to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal forms. Ability to think outside-of-box during the validation process and not always take the standard path. Be able to take direction with ease and execute on provided tasks efficiently. Be able to work independently and within a focused team environment. Have a passion for the latest hardware and software on the market. Excellent written skills in English. Nice to Have Ability to utilize testing equipment such as a multi-meter, oscilloscope, networking tools (Wireshark and Nast), power meters, and logic analyzer, etc. Computer or Hardware Engineering degree or relevant work experience Functional knowledge and experience with mobile development tool and debuggers such as Xcode and Android studio (having both are assets).
