Position: Manager, Workplace Technology Duration: 6-month assignment (Possibility of extension) Client Location: Windsor, ON (Onsite) (candidates open to relocating to Windsor will also be considered) Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only) About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Manager, Workplace Technology consultant to lead the strategy, delivery, and support of end-user technology across the organization. The engagement involves overseeing workplace technology, endpoint management, collaboration platforms, meeting room technology, end-user support, and workplace IT initiatives, with a strong focus on delivering secure, reliable, and modern technology solutions that enhance employee productivity and experience. Services to be Provided Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute the organization's workplace technology strategy and roadmap. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Workplace Technology team. Establish service standards, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationships. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve employee experience. End User Computing Oversee the lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Lead endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Jamf, or equivalent platforms. Standardize hardware and software offerings across the organization. Ensure timely deployment, refresh, and retirement of technology assets. Collaboration & Productivity Manage Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related collaboration platforms. Oversee conference room technology, audiovisual systems, and hybrid meeting experiences. Drive user adoption of collaboration technologies through communication, training, and change management. IT Service Delivery Ensure exceptional IT support services through effective service desk operations. Monitor and improve service levels, incident management, and request fulfillment. Implement ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management. Analyze support metrics to identify trends and improve service quality. Project Management Lead workplace technology projects from planning through implementation. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving infrastructure, security, networking, and business stakeholders. Manage technology refresh programs, office moves, and workplace modernization initiatives. Evaluate and introduce emerging workplace technologies that improve employee productivity. Vendor & Financial Management Manage relationships with hardware, software, and managed service providers. Negotiate contracts and licensing agreements. Track budgets, procurement, asset inventory, and software licensing compliance. Evaluate vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations. Expertise Required 7–10+ years of progressive IT experience. 3–5+ years of experience leading Workplace Technology, End User Computing, or IT Operations teams. Experience managing enterprise Microsoft 365 environments. Experience supporting hybrid work environments and modern endpoint management. Proven experience managing IT projects and technology vendors. Strong strategic leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and team development skills. Experience with budget management, vendor negotiations, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. Important This is a business-to-business engagement.
