Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Events, the Events Coordinator provides administrative, logistical, and operational support for Alberta Cancer Foundation (ACF) events, including community events, partnership events, stewardship events, donor engagement activities, and the Tour Alberta for Cancer. Working collaboratively with the Events team and other Foundation departments, this role supports the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of events that advance fundraising, stewardship, and community engagement objectives. This position acts as an ambassador for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and plays a key supporting role in ensuring a positive experience for participants, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Please Note: This position is temporary, full-time for 10 months to cover a maternity leave. How You'll Contribute Event Management Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Alberta Cancer Foundation events, including stewardship events, donor engagement activities, partner events, community fundraising initiatives, and the Tour Alberta for Cancer. Assist with event logistics including venue coordination, catering, vendor management, registration, signage, supplies, and event-day operations. Support participant communications, registration administration, and stakeholder engagement activities. Provide operational support before, during, and after events to ensure a positive guest or participant experience. Attend community and partner events on behalf of the Foundation Stewardship & Donor Engagement Support stewardship and donor engagement activities through the coordination of recognition events, donor experiences, and appreciation initiatives. Assist with RSVP tracking, event communications and fulfillment of event-related stewardship commitments. Collaborate with internal teams to help deliver exceptional experiences for donors, participants and partners. Administration Maintain accurate event records, budgets, registration information, attendance tracking, and event documentation. Support donation processing, event reconciliation, reporting, and CRM data entry. Prepare correspondence, presentations, and other administrative documents related to event activities. Track event deliverables, timelines and follow-up activities to support successful event execution. Manage ACF SWAG and inventory What You'll Bring to the Team Post-secondary education in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 to 3 years of experience supporting the planning and execution of events, fundraising initiatives, community engagement activities, or related projects. Comfortable and confident to attend events and possibly speak on behalf of the Foundation A minimum of intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and general office technology. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; proving calm, resourceful and resilient when under pressure.
