Job summary
Tooth Pals Pediatric Dentistry is hiring a Registered Dental Hygienist. Tooth Pals Pediatric Dentistry is Airdrie’s first pediatric specialty dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to children in Airdrie and the surrounding areas. Our team is committed to creating a positive and comfortable dental experience for young patients while ensuring their oral health care needs are taken care of. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality dental care to children and ensuring a positive and friendly atmosphere in our practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. -Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status. -Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. -Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. -Assist with chairside procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support to the dentist for efficient treatment delivery. -Maintain accurate and detailed records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and clinical findings. -Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with all regulations. -Assist with administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: -Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in Alberta. -BLS Certification. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Compassionate and patient-focused. -Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. -Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Pediatric experience not mandatory, but considered an asset. Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (some exceptions will be discussed on interview). We are looking to hire 3-5 days a week with the the opportunity with possible Saturday in the future.
