This position will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident and customer experience. Description: As a Support Service Worker, you will be responsible to provide a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties. You will be responsible to clean both patient and other facility rooms, operate, clean and store housekeeping equipment, dispose of wastes, and perform a variety of other duties to maintain a clean facility. You will also be responsible for the preparation, assembly and service of safe, high quality meals and menu items. Experience in a hospital or long- term care environment. Experience with Industrial Food Service Equipment. Food Safe Certificate or equivalent. WHMIS training.
What you’ll do
As a Support Service Worker, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean facility and ensure a quality experience for patients and residents. You will also be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and service of safe, high-quality meals.
Requirements
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent is required, along with the physical capability to walk and stand for the duration of shifts. Preferred qualifications include customer service experience and familiarity with food service in a healthcare environment.
