Job summary
Seeking experienced, dependable, and safety-focused long haul truck drivers to join our cross-border open deck operations between Canada and the United States. This position involves hauling a variety of freight using flatbed and Conestoga trailers throughout Canada and the United States. If you are a professional driver with strong load securement skills, cross-border experience, and a commitment to safety and customer service, we encourage you to apply. Compensation: Earnings vary based on factors such as verifiable driving experience, miles driven, safety performance, and load securement experience. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a semi-tractor with flatbed and Conestoga trailers to transport freight throughout Canada and the United States. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and roadworthy. Maintain accurate daily logs, trip reports, inspection records, and all required documentation. Comply with all applicable provincial, state, and federal transportation regulations, including Hours of Service and occupational health and safety requirements. Successfully participate in regular and random drug and alcohol testing, where required by applicable regulations. Communicate daily with dispatch regarding load information, schedules, safety concerns, and delivery updates. Maintain a clean driving record by consistently following safe driving practices. Perform minor roadside emergency repairs when required. Monitor and maintain fuel efficiency. Maintain a clean and tidy interior and exterior of tractor and trailer. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Valid Class 1A (or equivalent Commercial Driver's License). Valid passport and all required travel documents for regular cross-border travel between Canada and the United States. Minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience preferred. Experience operating flatbed and/or Conestoga trailers. Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience with proper load securement techniques. Reliable, accountable, and committed to maintaining high professional standards. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to lift, secure, and tarp loads as required. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
