Marie, ON, the Materials Testing Lab Technician - Mining will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on providing materials testing, civil engineering, and mining survey support. You will be part of a team that provides civil engineering and survey support on mining and other infrastructure/development projects, working on client-driven rotations. This is a 3-month contract and is a new position. The wage range is $25.00 - $30.00 hourly. What You'll Do As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will: Perform materials testing, including on-site tests, soil sampling, and data collection Perform laboratory testing of soils and concrete in strict accordance with the applicable standards, including documentation and reporting of results Undertake civil construction inspections, including QC & QA monitoring to confirm compliance with approved drawings and contract specifications Be responsible for material quantity control Perform compaction testing of granular material at specified lift intervals using a nuclear densometer Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.
