Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) About The Role We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of AI systems that reason through security incidents like a seasoned analyst. As a Security Operations Analyst, your real-world SOC expertise will directly shape how AI detects, investigates, and responds to threats — making enterprise security AI smarter and more effective for everyone. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work as much or as little as fits your life. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigation workflows — and evaluate how well AI systems handle them Classify threat severity, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions Review AI-generated detection logic and triage workflows for accuracy and real-world alignment Validate AI outputs against how security analysts actually work in practice Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI reasoning in security contexts Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and investigation workflows Skilled at distinguishing true positives from false positives and noise Strong written communication skills — you can explain your reasoning clearly Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, digital forensics, or malware analysis Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST Background in cloud security, endpoint detection, or network analysis Prior exposure to AI or data labeling workflows Why Join Us Work on frontier AI systems alongside top security and AI research teams Fully remote and async — work from anywhere on your own schedule Meaningful impact: your expertise helps AI get security right Freelance autonomy with the backing of an established AI organization Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as projects grow
