Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) About The Role We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of AI systems that reason through real-world security incidents. As a Security Operations Analyst, your hands-on SOC experience will directly shape how AI detects, investigates, and responds to threats — making enterprise security AI smarter and more aligned with how analysts actually work. This is a unique opportunity to go beyond the day-to-day grind of traditional security work and contribute to something that will influence the future of cybersecurity. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigation workflows — to assess what's happening and why it matters Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions Review and evaluate AI-generated detection logic and investigation outputs for accuracy and real-world alignment Validate AI responses against how experienced analysts actually triage and respond to threats Distinguish genuine security signals from noise and false positives to help AI learn the difference Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model quality Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and end-to-end investigation workflows Strong ability to separate true positives from false positives and articulate your reasoning clearly Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to analysis Comfortable working independently and asynchronously No prior AI experience required — your security expertise is what matters Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, SOAR platforms, or detection engineering Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST Background in blue team operations or security engineering Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems used by top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work that shapes the future of AI-powered security Potential for ongoing work and contract extension

What you’ll do

Requirements
