About the Role: We are looking for a Technical Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, industrial estimating, or technical sales who enjoys solving technical problems, reviewing engineering drawings, and working closely with customers and production teams. You will be responsible for reviewing customer drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, and preparing accurate quotations for custom gasket products. Responsibilities: Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Prepare quotations and cost estimates for custom-manufactured gasket products. Calculate material usage, manufacturing time, labor, and production costs. Recommend suitable gasket materials based on application requirements. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to ensure accurate quotations. Communicate with customers to clarify technical requirements and provide product recommendations. Obtain supplier pricing and lead times. Maintain quotation records and pricing databases. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating process. Assist with technical and manufacturing-related inquiries. Qualifications: 2–5 years of experience in technical estimating, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, inside sales, or a related technical role. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience preparing quotations or estimating manufacturing costs is an asset. Knowledge of gasket materials, industrial sealing products, or custom fabrication is an asset (training will be provided). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered an asset. Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Why Join Us?
