Position: Shipping Supervisor Job Summary Reports to Plant Manager and is responsible for the oversight of Shipping Department and the supervisory functions relating to planning, organizing, and leading a team to accurately load finished goods and other products to meet department objectives. Provides direct and indirect supervision over multiple shifts. Responsibilities * Ability to lead, motivate, and direct individuals and teams to meet stated company objectives in loading accuracy and productivity. * Provide performance feedback, positive encouragement, and issue discipline as needed. * Assign employees to correct location based on priorities and to prevent deviations from shipping schedules. * Provide root cause analysis for issues that arise during shift. * Report KPI’s for their shift daily, and weekly, to plant management group. * Balance the level of labor cost and productivity requirements during assigned * Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal * Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization in the shipping and truck dock areas including the outside trailer apron. * Maintains a safe working environment including ensuring trailer wheel chocks and dock safety chains are in place and maintained in good condition. * Oversee other routine housekeeping as required. * Ensure and maintain accurate multisite warehouse inventories, reports, and correct any discrepancies. * Ensure all incoming shipments are processed and received in a timely manner. * Monitor raw material inventory and order raw materials as needed for production. * Performs any other tasks as may be assigned by the Plant Manager or Production Manager. * Assist in related department activities and perform related duties, as required. Qualifications * Minimum five (5) years proven experience as a lead or production supervisor in a manufacturing environment * Comprehensive knowledge of raw and finished product specifications * Strong leadership skills * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work with minimum supervision - self starter * Strong interpersonal skills * Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requirements
