Job Description Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard – Residential Patrol in Mississauga, ON Job Title: Security Guard – Residential Location: Mississauga, ON Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $18.10 per hour Shifts: Monday–Friday | Evening | 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Guard – Residential Patrol to join our team at a residential property in Mississauga, Ontario. This role involves providing 24/7 security coverage and maintaining a safe, secure environment for residents, visitors, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for mobile patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident response while maintaining a highly visible presence and delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Site Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct regular and unpredictable patrols of the property, including interior and exterior areas such as parking structures and perimeters. Identify and address safety hazards, unsecured doors, and suspicious activity Visibility & Coverage: Maintain a professional, visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. Monitor cameras, alarms, and surveillance systems Access Control: Verify identification of authorized personnel. Log visitor entry and exit. Ensure all access points, gates, and doors are secured when not in use Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents. Contact emergency services when necessary and assist until help arrives. Enforce site rules, including parking regulations (ticketing/towing when required) Incident Documentation: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and on-site personnel. Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities in security logs. Complete shift reports and thorough handover notes Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all site safety policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and support overall risk mitigation efforts. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience working in security Must have a valid Ontario Security License. Must have a valid First Aid & CPR certificate. Must be at least 18 years old or above. High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours a week.
