Job Description Security Professional – Government Site - Floater Company: Allied Universal Location: Toronto (Downtown, North York & Scarborough) Pay: $21.00/hour Employment: Full-time, Part-time, or Casual Schedule: Rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) Security Clearance Requirement Applicants must have resided continuously in Canada for a minimum of five (5) years. (Citizen or PR holder) Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Security Clearance. An existing Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance is considered a strong asset. Professional Summary Allied Universal is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Security Professionals to support Government of Canada operations across multiple sites in the Greater Toronto Area. This position requires individuals who can remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality while protecting government facilities and personnel. The successful candidate will monitor electronic security systems, coordinate emergency responses, document incidents accurately, and communicate effectively with security teams, government representatives, and emergency services. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. Key Qualifications Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 6 months to 1 year of security experience. Valid First Aid & CPR certification. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Reliable transportation to travel between GTA work sites. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Must have lived continuously in Canada for at least 5 years and be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Security Clearance. Preferred Assets Government or critical infrastructure security experience. CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, or dispatch experience. Bilingual in English and French.
