We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual who wants to be part of the entire design process - from understanding a client’s vision and developing creative solutions, through planning and detailed design, to producing the documents needed for a well-executed project. At Alora Designs, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, work collaboratively with our team, and help bring our clients’ ideas to life through thoughtful, innovative, and practical design. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop high-quality conceptual designs, floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and construction drawings for residential projects. · Prepare and maintain CAD/BIM working drawings and technical documentation throughout the design process. · Be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from the initial client consultation and conceptual design through construction documentation and site visits, working directly with clients, contractors, trades, and consultants. · Contribute to site planning, zoning, and development-related documentation. · Coordinate architectural details and drawings with contractors, trades, consultants, and other professionals. · Apply the Ontario Building Code and other applicable regulations to project design and documentation. · Maintain project schedules and complete assigned work within established deadlines. · Attend industry events and meetings as required to help promote the Alora Designs Inc. brand and services. QUALIFICATIONS: · Diploma or Degree in Architectural Construction Technology · 5+ years of relevant experience · Strong experience with residential architectural design and construction documentation · BCIN Qualified Designer (Houses/Small Buildings) · Minimum 5 years of Revit experience with a strong understanding of BIM workflows. · Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and applicable municipal regulations. · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify design and technical challenges and develop practical solutions · Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work · Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. · Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment. · A valid driver's licence and clean driving record. Requirements
Requires a Diploma or Degree in Architectural Construction Technology with over 5 years of experience and BCIN qualification for houses and small buildings. Proficiency in Revit and a strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code are essential.
