Back-End Developer

Position Overview We’re looking for a Backend Developer who thrives on creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing web experiences. You’ll work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to build scalable APIs, maintain reliable services, and improve the core functionality of our platform. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices Integrate third-party APIs, especially with financial and payment systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features Optimize backend processes for performance, scalability, and reliability Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation and testing Monitor, debug, and resolve issues in production environments Ensure backend systems follow security best practices and compliance requirements Job Qualifications 2+ years of experience in frontend development Strong knowledge of Node.js, Python, Java, or similar backend languages Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and ORM frameworks Experience with cloud platforms Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and containerization Knowledge of security principles related to authentication, authorization, and data protection Excellent problem-solving skills and a team-first attitude Nice-to-Haves Experience working with payment gateways or financial APIs Familiarity with Kubernetes or serverless architecture Understanding of internationalization/localization in applications Bilingual ability in Mandarin or Cantonese (not required, but helpful for client context) What We Offer Competitive salary Health and dental benefits Opportunity to work on innovative fintech solutions A supportive and inclusive team culture Career growth opportunities in a fast-scaling company On-site parking Join Us At AlphaPay, we’re building the future of global commerce.
