Role Description The Dispatcher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Saskatoon, SK. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily transportation schedules, assign loads to drivers, and monitor routes to ensure timely and safe delivery. Responsibilities include communicating with drivers and customers, updating shipment statuses, and resolving scheduling conflicts or delays in a proactive manner. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing and updating dispatch documentation, and collaborating with operations and safety teams to support compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Dispatcher will use dispatch and communication systems to track equipment, prioritize urgent loads, and help maintain a high level of service quality. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience in dispatching, transportation logistics, or fleet coordination. Strong scheduling, planning, and resource management abilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Working knowledge of Samsara ELD systems and Hours of Service regulations. Understanding of transportation compliance, permitting, and border-crossing processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Dispatch & Operations Schedule and dispatch drivers using transportation management and dispatch software. Monitor equipment, driver assignments, routes, permits, and trip activity. Coordinate transportation projects from planning through completion in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Track driver productivity and resource utilization to maximize operational efficiency. Proactively resolve operational challenges, including delays, equipment breakdowns, and permit-related issues. Compliance & Transportation Administration Audit driver activity and electronic logs using Samsara ELD systems. Ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and transportation industry requirements. Manage border-crossing documentation and coordinate with customs brokers. Secure required permits and licenses for transportation activities. Prepare IFTA filings and maintain accurate driver records and logbooks. Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries by phone and email. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and service. Administrative Support - As required Maintain operational reports, spreadsheets, and internal documentation. Assist with preparing customer quotations and estimates. Benefits and RRSP Programs
