Freight Business Development Manager Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Sales Agent to join our dynamic team within the freight industry. As a Freight Business development manager , you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and developing strategic partnerships. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to maximize profitability. Responsibilities: Identify and target potential clients within the freight industry to generate new business leads. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets. Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular communication and client engagement activities. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Negotiate and close sales agreements, contracts, and partnerships, adhering to company policies and profitability objectives. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and market trends to identify new business opportunities. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to management. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote brand awareness and build a professional network. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the freight industry. In-depth knowledge of the freight industry, including various transportation modes, logistics operations, and supply chain management. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop strategic plans. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities. Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
