Job summary
We're accepting applications now and will begin active recruitment in September 2026. Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination. Multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities, all under one roof, for one membership. We bring together the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full service club, and we deliver an experience that members build their week around. We are the membership members actually use. Everything we do is designed to deliver a premium member experience. This role sits at the intersection of three things Altea does differently: the fitness prescription model that turns member results into a repeatable system, the LF3 and Signature studio programming that sets the standard for group strength and conditioning in this club, and the Diamond community that expects the highest level of relationship and care. You own all three. If you've been looking for a place that matches your standard, this is it. WHAT YOU'LL LEAD * The Diamond Community. You are the in-club concierge for Altea's top-tier members. You know their goals, their coaches, their progress. You build the kind of relationships that make members come back by name, over and over. * The Rx Process. The fitness prescription appointment is where member results begin. You audit it, develop it, and protect its quality across every trainer on your team. * Programming Quality and Class Audits. LF3 Strength, Tread, and Signature studio. You hold the coaching standard, conduct regular audits, and develop the trainers who deliver it. * Your Segment of the Trainer Team. Personal trainers at Altea teach LF3 and work in the Signature studio. You and the Personal Training Manager share accountability for this team, each owning distinct segments. You own the programming side. WHO YOU ARE * You make everyone around you better. You build real member relationships without being told to, and you hold the standard because you are proud of what you represent. * You are obsessed with member results. You believe great coaching, real plans, and real follow up is what produces them. Not luck. * You believe in group strength and conditioning. Not as a class on a schedule. As one of the most powerful tools in fitness, when it is coached properly. You hold the floor to that belief. * You develop people as a reflex. You identify talent early, create real growth opportunities, and build coaches who are better for having worked with you. * You build real relationships. Diamond members feel the difference between a relationship and a transaction. You bring the kind of emotional intelligence that makes every interaction feel like the former. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 5+ years of personal training, performance coaching, or fitness leadership experience in a premium environment * 3+ years of progressive people leadership experience, including direct management of a coaching or training team * Proven experience managing high-value client relationships in a premium or luxury environment * Strong financial literacy. You understand PT revenue drivers, KPIs, and act on what the numbers tell you * Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually * Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement WHAT YOU'LL EARN This is a leadership role compensated at a level that reflects the standard we hold and the calibre of person we are looking for. All rates of pay are confidential. Beyond base, you will receive annual and monthly performance bonus opportunities, ESOP, group health benefits, a complimentary Altea membership and Plus One, an extensive vacation package plus paid Flex days, a 4-day work week program (12 days annually), and a cellphone allowance. SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Your Diamond members know your name and trust your guidance. Rx appointments are being conducted at the Altea standard across your team. LF3 and Signature classes are consistently coached, not just delivered. At least one trainer on your team has grown into a more capable, more accountable version of themselves. Member retention in the Diamond community is strong, and your team performs at a high level whether you are on the floor or not. We are an equal opportunity employer and believe in treating everyone fairly regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, national origin, language, citizenship, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, gender identity, gender expression, record of offences, disability, or any other legally protected factors. Accommodations are available upon request. AI Disclosure: To support our hiring process, artificial intelligence based tools may be used to assist with screening and assessment activities, alongside human review. We thank you for your interest; however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
