Job summary

We're accepting applications now and will begin active recruitment in September/October 2026. Altea is not another big box gym. It is not a boutique studio. It is an integrated fitness and wellness destination, and the yoga program here is built to match that standard. Yoga at Altea connects body, mind, and breath, building mobility, stability, and calm across every session. From deep recovery to performance-driven flows, the program spans Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, and more, delivered across both heated and unheated environments in the Sculpt and Glow Studios. Members come to your class at the beginning of their day and the end of a hard one. The way you hold a room, cue a breath, and build a sequence determines whether they leave better than they arrived. That is the job. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Deliver thoughtful, well-sequenced classes across your certified yoga format or formats. Every class is planned with clear intention, appropriate pacing, and real coaching throughout. * Build breath, mobility, and mindfulness into every session. Your classes are not just movement. They are a practice. Participants should leave with a sense of what they worked on and why. * Create space for every level. Your classes are accessible to a first-timer and meaningful to a long-term practitioner. You modify, layer, and coach in real time without losing the room. * Build a community. Your regulars know you and come back because of you. You greet participants by name, stay present before and after class, and make the studio feel like a place people genuinely want to be. * Show up prepared. Your sequence is ready. Your music is set. You are on the floor early, and the pre and post class sequence is delivered to standard every time. WHO YOU ARE Someone who understands that yoga is not just physical. The experience you create in the room matters as much as the postures you teach. * You are a real coach. You watch your participants, offer real-time adjustments and cueing, and stay present throughout the class. * You are coachable. Feedback is how the program stays excellent. You receive it without ego and apply it. * You are consistent. Your standard does not change based on how full the room is or what time it is. * You are professional. You represent Altea in the studio and throughout the club with pride and polish. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 200-hour minimum yoga teacher training certification required. 300-hour or 500-hour certification is a strong asset * Experience teaching group yoga classes in a studio or premium fitness environment * Certified in one or more formats: Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, Mobility, or equivalent * Hot yoga or heated studio experience is an asset * Additional format certifications are a strong asset * Reliable, punctual, and holds a consistently high standard of preparation and professionalism * Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement WHAT YOU'LL EARN This role is compensated at a level that reflects the standard we hold and the calibre of person we are looking for. All rates of pay are confidential. * Complimentary individual Altea membership * Career defining growth and development opportunities within a rapidly expanding Canadian brand We are an equal opportunity employer and believe in treating everyone fairly regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, national origin, language, citizenship, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, gender identity, gender expression, record of offences, disability, or any other legally protected factors.
