Project Context The Commissioning Specialist will support testing, acceptance, and maintenance activities for critical systems and equipment in a high-security, defense-focused environment. The role involves ensuring the operational readiness of complex mechanical systems, with a strong emphasis on national security and asset reliability. Key Responsibilities Carry out testing, acceptance, and maintenance activities for mechanical systems and equipment. Conduct equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance. Draft and review test documentation, work instructions, and lockout/tagout documentation. Identify risks and opportunities during testing and maintenance. Candidate Requirements Commissioning experience. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Familiarity with naval or maritime refit programs. Experience in electrical, weapon systems, or combat systems. Marine, offshore oil and gas drilling, naval vessel, or submarine operational experience. Experience operating/testing electrical systems. Why Join Us? In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $70,000 – $105,000 per year for permanent positions and $50 – $70 per hour for contract roles.
