Job Details Job Description: Become an Intern at the largest standalone FPGA company in the world! This internship role is in Altera’s Quartus User Interface team. The candidate will work directly with experienced software engineers to design, implement, debug, and test the visualization, analysis, and GUI infrastructure used throughout the Quartus design flow. The candidate will have opportunities to contribute ideas, improve existing tools, and bring new capabilities from concept through productization. Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To Design, implement, and document new user interface features and infrastructure using C++ and the Qt toolkit. Investigate issues, debug complex problems, and collaborate with software engineers to improve the usability, reliability, and performance of Quartus visualization and analysis tools. Develop unit, integration, and regression tests using C++, Python, and Tcl, and participate in code reviews and other software quality activities. Our compensation is designed to reflect the Canadian labour market. The actual salary offered may vary based on several factors, including the position’s location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, training, and job-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, we offer performance-based incentive opportunities that reward both individual contributions and overall company success. Qualifications The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and has an interest in software development, user interfaces, visualization, or hardware/software systems. Experience with C++, Qt, Python, Tcl, software testing, or debugging is an asset.
