Role: Lead Software Engineer / Technical Lead Location: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) – Mississauga/Toronto (preferred) Pay Rate: $100–125/hour (Incorporated) Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Start: ASAP About the Opportunity Our client - a large national healthcare organization is building a new Azure-native customer onboarding platform that will integrate with multiple enterprise systems across the organization. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity designed for someone who wants to play a long-term leadership role. During the initial implementation, you'll partner closely with a Senior Solution Architect to provide technical leadership, review vendor solution designs, guide enterprise integrations, and ensure the application aligns with enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards. As ownership transitions from the implementation partner to the internal engineering team, you'll become the technical lead responsible for the long-term evolution and ownership of the platform. Key Responsibilities • Review and provide technical oversight of solution designs. • Partner with the Solution Architect on architecture decisions and design approvals. • Guide enterprise integrations across Azure and the organization's technology landscape. • Ensure vendor solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, and compliance. • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Operations, and Architecture teams. • Support knowledge transfer as ownership transitions to the internal engineering team. • Eventually lead ongoing development and enhancement of the platform. What We're Looking For • 10+ years of software engineering experience with recent technical leadership responsibilities. • Experience building Azure-native enterprise applications. • Strong enterprise integration experience, including middleware and API orchestration. • Experience integrating with platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, MDM, or similar enterprise systems. • Experience working alongside Solution Architects and participating in technical design reviews. • Hands-on engineering background with the ability to transition into technical ownership of the application. • Experience in regulated enterprise environments is considered an asset.
