About the role The Painter primes steel doors and frames and related components using appropriate painting techniques and equipment while ensuring a high standard of finish and consistency. The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to manage a dynamic workload and maintain quality in a fast-paced production environment. This is a new position being staffed with one (1) opening. Candidates must be available to work onsite five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 02:30 p.m. What you'll do Prime steel doors and frames and related components using appropriate painting techniques and equipment. Prepare surfaces before priming, including cleaning and masking as required. Conduct routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of painting equipment and the paint booth. Troubleshoot painting equipment and resolve basic mechanical or quality issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Work collaboratively and safely with colleagues in cross-functional roles and departments for related projects. Other related duties, as assigned. Qualifications Education: High school or equivalent education and experience. Prior experience in priming/painting is an asset Knowledge of manufacturing processes Knowledge of painting techniques including spraying systems. Experience following standard operating procedures and adhering to workplace health and safety procedures. Experience reviewing products for deviations and/or non-conformities Work Conditions Working in a manufacturing environment daily ·Ability to wear a respirator for extended periods of time Remain alert for extended periods, paying keen attention to detail Ability to lift 23 kilograms (50 lbs) Why Join AMBICO?
