Job Description We are looking for a Crane Operator who enjoys hands-on work and wants a versatile role rather than being limited to operating one machine. In this role, you will be at the heart of the yard operations at our Lac-Mégantic team and will actively contribute to material handling. You will operate the crane, as well as various heavy equipment depending on operational needs (loader, forklift, etc.). This is a highly versatile, active and physically demanding position. The role also includes manual metal sorting and physical outdoor work, in addition to equipment operation. A large part of the work is performed outdoors, on the yard and in collaboration with the team. Responsibilities : Operate the crane and participate in general yard activities; Sort and identify metals (using tests, magnets, etc.) and assess non-saleable materials; Receive, unload and move metals to the appropriate areas; Check the quality of materials received and handled; Transport and organize non-ferrous material bins on site; Operate various equipment (crane, loader and forklift) as needed; Load ferrous products for customers; Perform manual tasks related to daily operations, including sorting, handling and organizing materials. Qualifications To join our team : Experience operating heavy equipment (crane, loader or equivalent); Comfortable working in a physical and outdoor environment; Strong ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities; Strong commitment to health and safety; Proactive, hands-on attitude; Valid Class 5 driver's licence (asset); Experience in a scrap yard or recycling environment (strong asset). Requirements

Requires experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes or loaders and the ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work. A valid Class 5 driver's license and experience in a scrap yard or recycling environment are strong assets.
