Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver Supervisor to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario, reporting to the Director of Transportation. As a Driver Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of drivers out of different locations. You will regularly audit current delivery and pick-up routes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements without sacrificing safety and customer service. Qualified candidates will be self-driven and demonstrate exceptional workplace safety standards, attention to detail, efficiency, customer service, continuous improvement and strong verbal and written communication skills. What you're responsible for: Supervising and managing a team of drivers Providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance Overseeing the day-to-day operations, safety regulations and procedures Working closely with a team of drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely service to our customers Scheduling and coordinating driver assignments, routes, and deliveries to meet operational goals and customer demands Monitoring driver performance, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement improvement plans when necessary Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and vehicle maintenance Maintaining accurate records and reports related to driver activities, performance, and incidents Qualifications AZ or DZ license preferred, roll-off or lugger experience is an asset 2+ years experience in a supervisory role 5+ years experience in the transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software and technology for tracking and reporting GEOTAB experience is an asset Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness to travel to the US Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed, available by phone after-hours
