Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator (afternoon shift) to join our team. As a key member of our yard operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling and manoeuvring materials using a variety of equipment. Operating skid steer and forklift machinery to move and process scrap metal materials within the shredder department Sorting and segregating various types of metals using appropriate attachments on the skid steer Loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and processing equipment Maintaining a clean and organized (yard) work area to ensure safety and efficiency Assisting in general maintenance tasks for equipment and facility upkeep during any downtime Qualifications Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a heavy industrial setting is a asset Previous general labour experience required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Comfortable working outdoors in various types of weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc) Ability to work in a noisy and dusty, heavy industrial setting
